Andy Cohen hasn’t given up on the dating apps.
The father of two confirmed this in a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, when he asked Charlize Theron if she was, in fact, on Raya — a membership-based dating app that caters to high-profile figures.
“I am,” the Oscar winner said, to which Andy replied, “I am, too.”
Andy Cohen and Charlize Theron bond over their dating app experiences
Charlize clarified she was no longer active on the platform because she was so disappointed by her experiences.
“I don’t do anything with it. A friend put me on it,” she said, referring to the app. “I went on two dates, and then I just kind of [stopped]. It’s not ― every guy has a Burning Man picture, and they’re a CEO, like, of nothing. Or they’re all a fitness [influencer]…
“Or a creative director of nothing,” Andy added.
“Then you meet with them and they’re not [a CEO]. They just say it up front,” Charlize continued. “Well, why did you put that on your [bio]? No, I don’t like it.”

Andy Cohen reveals why he was kicked off a dating platform
Andy spoke about his dating app history during a 2018 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, years before he joined Raya.
“I am not on Raya,” he said at the time. “I am on Tinder, and there is a gay dating app that I’m on that I keep getting kicked off of because they think I’m impersonating Andy Cohen. They’re like, ‘Your photos don’t meet our guidelines,’ and I keep trying, I’m like, ‘No, it is me!’”
(Andy later told The Hollywood Reporter he was kicked off Grindr because users believed he was catfishing as himself.)
What kind of guys will Andy Cohen “swipe left” on?
The St. Louis native began using Raya several years later, after he was verified by his longtime friend John Mayer. Andy told THR he was still using Raya, along with Grindr, Scruff, Tinge, and Hinge.
“I’m on all the apps!” he declared before revealing what kind of romantic partners he was steering clear of. “The people that I tend to swipe on Hinge and Tinder aren’t usually big Bravo fans. They’re just random guys. I mean, if someone’s got a Housewives tagline in their profile, chances are I’m going to swipe left!”

Andy Cohen reflects on dating as a single dad
Although Andy acknowledged that dating as a celebrity is unusual, he thought it was more “weird” to date as a single dad. (The WWHL host has a 6-year-old son named Ben and a 3-year-old daughter named Lucy, both of whom were born via surrogacy.)
“Being famous isn’t what makes dating weird to me — it’s being a single dad,” he continued. “A guy I was dating said one night, ‘There’s an elephant in the room here.’ And I thought he meant that I have two kids. But he said, ‘No, it’s that you’re famous.’ And I thought, ‘Wow, that’s something I never think about!’”
