Tom Sandoval might be slaying his musical career, and it sounds like he’s also finding success with his girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson’s parents.
Fresh from his out-of-your-seat audition on America’s Got Talent, the Vanderpump Rules alum — and sometimes trumpeter — had nothing but love for the fans and loved ones who’ve seen him through his incredible musical journey. He gave a special shoutout to those who came with him and showed their support from the audience, including longtime BFF, Tom Schwartz, Tom Schwartz’s brother, and Victoria — as well as her family.
Audiences may not have known that Victoria’s parents were also there to lend their support. Tom recently spoke with The Daily Dish and NBC Insider after he and his band, Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras, performed their energized and impassioned rendition of A-Ha’s “Take On Me,” an audition that advanced the ensemble into the next round during the show’s triumphant 20th season.
“It just means so much to me,” Tom shared exclusively with us of having his loved ones there for the show. “Having Victoria there, and then her parents were there as well. Schwartz was there, and so was his brother, and just having that kind of positive energy there with you really, really helps. You feel so supported and loved, and it’s really important to have that when you’re going up there and really putting yourself out there.”
It’s no wonder Tom felt the love, given all the pride Victoria showed him at the time of his performance. She shared unseen moments from the big night in which she cheered on her man with a selfie she shared with Tom Schwartz and his brother, Burt Schwartz, behind the scenes.
“His number one fans hehe,” she posted on an Instagram Story with a hugging emoji, a teary-eyed emoji, and a red heart.
Tom and his band got a solid four yeses from AGT judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Mel B. Tom told NBC Insider it was “awesome” to be considered to play at Mel B.’s wedding, proving there was lots of love to go around.
Inside Tom Sandoval and Victoria Lee Robinson’s bond with their families
On partners meeting parents, the couple reached a major milestone in May 2024 when Tom brought Victoria to his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, to meet the family, which came not long after Victoria’s cameo appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
At the time, parents Anthony Sandoval and Terri Green joined forces to support Tom when the band came to play in town. In one photo, Victoria made kissy faces while squeezed between Tom’s parents, and it was happy times for all when she got to meet the STL crew (a.k.a. Sandoval’s cousins).
Tom Sandoval and Victoria Lee Robinson discuss someday having kids
In April of this year, Tom and Victoria, themselves, discussed the possibility of parenthood on Nick Viall’s The Viall Files podcast. Tom gushed about his “committed, loving, awesome relationship” with Victoria, and he was 100 percent serious about their long-term goals including having kids.
“I told him, ‘Don’t waste my time. If you ever want to go elsewhere, if you ever want to break up, just break up with me,’” Victoria shared on the podcast. “I’m like, ‘Do we want kids… well, do you want kids?’ And then, ‘OK, how many do you want?’ But we have to be on the same page on everything. I’m like, ‘Don’t waste my time.’”
Tom joked about having 16 kids, and while Victoria put the brakes on that idea, she did say she wanted to have two.
