The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 marks some major changes for Gina Kirschenheiter: Not only does she have a new house, but she and boyfriend Travis Mullen also are living together once again.
In the above preview clip for the supersized RHOC Season 19 premiere (set to air on July 10), Gina reveals that she and Travis “have made the decision to move back in together,” after she previously asked him to move out during Season 18. (They still remained a couple, though.)
“Last year, it was very easy to say, ‘Oh, we can’t afford something together,’ because that wasn’t the real issue,” she says in a confessional, before detailing the “weird” events that ultimately led to a new perspective on her and Travis’ relationship.
Recalling a “life-changing” summer getaway to Bali, she describes feeling “so connected to the wind” and seeing “so many signs” pointing her in the right direction.Â
Explaining that Travis’ ongoing issues with his ex had previously influenced her choices, she declared, “I found out that I was living with fear and making my decisions out of fear.”
Details on Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen’s new home
After previously blending their families — including her three kids, Nicholas, Luca, and Sienna (with ex-husband Matt Kirschenheiter), as well as Travis’ three children (with his estranged wife) — in a much smaller, three-bedroom abode, the couple now has more room to grow than ever.
“There are not a lot of homes this size in my neighborhood,” Gina remarks of her new 2,800 square-foot, five-bedroom house.
A flashback to Travis’ move-in day one week earlier also shows the real estate agent joking, “Oh my god, it’s so echo-y. Do you hear that? It’s square footage!”

Upon arriving to see her castmate and bestie’s “beautiful” new pad for the first time, Emily Simpson even remarks, “It feels so big!” as the two joke about all the Step Brothers-inspired “activities” they could do with all the extra space. Gina does admit, however, that the home is in its “camping chic” era, as she awaits the arrival of a new couch.
“Clearly, Gina has her head on straight now about Travis,” Emily observes in a confessional. “But she can’t kick him out again. I feel like one time, that’s it. If she does it again, he’s gone.”
Why did Gina Kirschenheiter ask Travis Mullen to move out?
In case you need a quick refresher, during RHOC Season 18, Gina made the difficult decision of asking Travis to move out of her home, due to both the “baggage” of his ongoing divorce, as well as a lack of space as their combined six children grew older.
“They need privacy,” Gina previously explained. “We went and we looked at houses, and we looked at what it would take to get into a house the size of our family, and we can’t afford it. Honestly, my gut is telling me that we need to live separately and see where the chips land.”
As her statements in the RHOC Season 19 premiere’s first look clarified, however, the affordability of a larger home wasn’t actually the real problem, though.
What to expect from Gina Kirschenheiter on RHOC Season 19
As the RHOC Season 19 trailer already previewed, Gina and Travis’ relationship still isn’t totally in the clear now, either, though.
“Whenever Travis and I are happy, we pay for it,” Gina cryptically declared to Shannon Storms Beador in one scene. What’s more, her cast bio for the new season further teases, “After ex-husband Matt suffers a heart attack, Gina embraces living in the moment. In the friend group, she sets her sights on exposing lies and righting the wrongs.
