Alabama police have arrested three men who allegedly sexually abused children in a storm shelter.

Bibb County police, who began investigating in early February, initially arrested William McElroy. A second suspect, Dalton Terrell, 21, was charged in connection with the case in late April — after already being arrested for allegedly paying adults for sexual access to their children, according to WBRC.

Days after Terrell’s arrest, Andres Trejo-Velazquez was also charged. WBRC reported that a fourth man was indicted, but his name has not been disclosed as authorities are looking for him.

Assistant District Attorney Bryan Jones said six children were drugged and taken to the underground bunker in Brent, where they were sexually abused. The suspects allegedly paid to carry out the abuse.

Terrell reportedly abused the children between 2024 and 2025. The victims ranged in age from 3 to 16, according to WDBJ.

Terrell and McElroy are charged with sodomy and rape, while McElroy is also charged with kidnapping. All three men are charged with human trafficking.

WBRC reported that the victims are in the custody of the Alabama Department of Human Resources. Jones said additional charges are likely forthcoming as they identify more victims.
