This just in: Vicki Gunvalson’s love tank is still full.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum took to Instagram this week to share another glimpse at her life with Michael Smith, the Texas businessman she began dating more than three years ago. Vicki posted a video of her boyfriend preparing for bed, just minutes after realizing she had made a mistake with a grocery order.

“Ugh I ordered on Instacart a bunch of groceries and 2 organic carrots,” she wrote in a July 23 Instagram Story. “I messed up & ordered (2) 25 lb bags of carrots.”
The clip showed two large bags of carrots sitting in front of Vicki’s home door.
“So, Mike, I ordered two organic carrots, and two 25 pounds came,” she said. “Mike, so what are you gonna do tomorrow with the carrots?”
“Take them to the horse stables,” he replied, while turning down the bed.

Vicki urged her boyfriend to document his trip to the stables so viewers wouldn’t accuse them of throwing the vegetables “in the garbage.”
“Are you so happy you’re home?” Vicki asked Mike. “I’m so happy you’re home. I hate when you go away.”
“I’m really happy to be home,” he responded. “I love sleeping in my bed.”
Michael Smith fulfills his promise to Vicki Gunvalson: “I gotta film this”
As seen on Vicki’s Instagram, Michael kept his word and donated the vegetables to the Coto de Caza Equestrian Center.
“OK, I gotta film this. This is such a Vicki-ism,” he said in a July 24 video. “I just dropped off 50 pounds of carrots to the stables here in Coto de Caza. Last night, she wanted to buy two carrots to make me stir fry, and she bought two 25-pound bags. So, I’m at the horse stables right now… I’ve given it to the horses, and we’ve got a bunch of happy horses here.”
Vicki Gunvalson and Michael Smith are looking to buy a home together
Summer 2025 has been quite eventful for Vicki and Mike. In addition to attending and hosting family celebrations — including Mike’s birthday and his daughter’s wedding — the couple began searching for a new home around the Palm Springs area. Vicki spoke about the hunt during the July 23 episode of My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, confirming she and Mike had submitted an offer on a property. She told her co-host, Christian Gray Snow, that she liked “the energy” of the house and its next-level amenities.
“Beautiful backyard, on the golf course,” she said about the home. “Big pool, has lots of cooking stuff outside… a grill, a pizza oven with gas. It [had] a very entertaining feeling.”

Is Vicki Gunvalson ready for retirement? “Mike wants me to consider…”
Vicki later revealed that she and Mike abandoned their plans to open a bar in Puerto Vallarta.
“We decided not to,” Vicki said. “When I sat up at night and started thinking about it, I’m like, ‘Do I really want my husband to be in a bar at night in Mexico and I’m in California or at the house waiting for him to get home?’ Not good for relationships, so we decided against it. We lost quite a bit of money, but it was the right decision.”
Vicki said Mike had also urged her to cut back on work hours, as she devoted most of her days to her business, Coto Insurance & Financial Services.
“Mike wants me to consider working three or four days a week versus eight. And I’m open to that,” she said before explaining her reservations about retiring. “What do people do when they’re retired? What do people do [when] they don’t work? Help me!… I don’t have any hobbies, Christian. I used to crochet… I raised kids… I think the people who are retired and have no purpose, they die.”
