The friendship was revealed in a newly released trailer for The Valley Season 2 reunion when Andy Cohen questioned Jax about the connections he’s formed within the ever-expanding Bravo-verse.
Jax Taylor sheds light on his relationship with Kim Zolciak
“Who are you closest to from Bravo?” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host asked, specifying he wanted names outside The Valley and Vanderpump Rules casts.
“Who do I talk to the most? Everybody,” Jax said. “I’ve been doing this for years. So, the last person I probably talked to is Kim Zolciak. I talked to her yesterday.”
Of course, the answer surprised Andy and a few of Jax’s castmates.
“Oh, really?” Andy replied. “What do you talk to Kim about?”
“She just asked, because I’m coming to Atlanta, she’s like, ‘Do you want to meet for dinner?’” Jax claimed, before casually revealing he also communicates with The Real Housewives of Orange County friend Gretchen Rossi. “So, I’m gonna have dinner with her… A little bit of everybody.”

Andy suggested Jax and Kim could start some kind of romance, as The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum has been separated from her husband, Kroy Biermann, for more than two years.

“She’s available,” the host pointed out, to which Jax replied, “I’m good.”
The Valley Season 2 reunion was filmed during the first week of May. It’s unclear if Jax and Kim ever had that dinner.
Jax Taylor previously defended Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s marriage
Years before Kim and Kroy announced their separation, Jax publicly defended the couple against criticism of their marriage. It all started with a May 19, 2018, social media post in which Kim jokingly thanked her husband for “being [her] chauffeur.” Kroy received the label because he was frequently filmed driving Kim around on RHOA and their family spin-off, Don’t Be Tardy.
One Twitter user called Kim and Kroy’s dynamic “sad,” which prompted a fiery response from Jax.
“It’s called loving your wife,” the former SUR bartender wrote, “such a messed up thing to say to one. Who even are you?”

Like Kim, Jax is also navigating a public divorce. The Michigan native and his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, confirmed their split in February 2024, after nearly five years of marriage. Brittany — who shares a 4-year-old son with Jax — filed for divorce six months later.

Days before The Valley Season 2 finale (July 22), Jax announced he was leaving the series to focus on his sobriety, mental health, and family.
“After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley,” he said in a statement. “Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself – especially for our son, Cruz.”
