Would Heather & Terry Dubrow Let Kids Get Plastic Surgery?

Celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow is weighing in on whether he thinks going under the knife is right for his and Heather Dubrow’s children. 

Terry, who shares twins Nick Dubrow and Max Dubrow, 21; Kat Dubrow, 18; and Ace Dubrow, 14, with The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member, revealed in an interview with E! News published on July 9 that he has reservations about his kids getting plastic surgery. Admittedly, though, “It’s hard to be a busy plastic surgeon who puts food on the table doing this, and to say to your kids, ‘No, it’s okay for everybody else, but not for you,'” Terry explained.

Ultimately, though, the Botched star said he and Heather want his children to look inwardly and explore the reasons behind their possibly life-altering decisions. As he put it, “The way Heather and I handle this is, we go, ‘Okay, let’s talk about that.’ And they go, ‘Oh, here we go, Mom and Dad are going to make us talk about it.’”

“Yeah, we want to talk about it,” Terry continued. “Because last thing we want you to do is be regretful, make a decision for the you now that you will regret later and to look back and say to us, ‘Why didn’t you make me work this out?'”

Which plastic surgery procedure would Terry Dubrow *not* allow his and Heather’s kids to get?

Terry told E! News that one of his and Heather’s kids recently approached him about getting lip enhancements. “I go, ‘Uh, no,'” he revealed. “And they go, ‘Really? Really?'” 

“I am open to my kids making the appropriate changes,” added the Beverly Hills-based doctor. “If they had a bad nose, I would be the first to say, ‘Sure, but what are you hoping to gain?'” 

Terry Dubrow reveals his parenting advice

Terry recommends that above all, parents give their kids “a supportive, loving environment.”

And when it comes time for difficult conversations, “Act like there are cameras around and that you’re going to be held accountable for the way you act,” he advised. “That immediately removes all of your preconceived douchiness you might have.”
