DYER COUNTY, Tenn. (TCN) —Â Authorities recently discovered four individuals deceased while investigating a baby who was abandoned in front of a home this week.
According to the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office, on July 29, at around 3:11 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a vehicle that had dropped off a baby at a random person’s front yard. Authorities said they wanted to speak with Cortney Rose, Matthew Wilson, and Adrianna Williams in connection with the incident.
In an updated release, the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office announced that the baby is safe, and they are working with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office after four individuals were found deceased in Lake County. WREG-TV identified the decedents as Rose, Wilson, Williams, and a juvenile. Authorities did not disclose how they died.
The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office said they remain “dedicated to resolving both the abandoned infant case and the ongoing investigation at the crime scene.”
In a statement, Lake County Sheriff Bryan Avery added, “This remains a very active and ongoing investigation, and we want to assure the public that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is leading this case with the highest level of diligence and professionalism. Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends, families, and the entire community impacted by this tragic situation. We know this is a difficult time, and we stand with you.”
