Accused Killer Aaron Pennington Still Elusive Weeks After Shooting Wife Dead Inside Home with 4 Children – Crime Online

More than two weeks after his wife’s death, murder suspect Aaron Pennington remains on the run after allegedly shooting his wife in their Massachusetts home.

The Messenger reports that the Massachusetts State Police announced they suspended the search for Pennington 10 days after he fled, following the death of his wife, Breanna Pennington, 30.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, police began searching for Pennington after the couple’s four children, 2, 5, 7, and 9, ran to a neighbor’s home on October 22 and said they couldn’t find their father. They added that their mother was last seen crying inside her bedroom, at the family’s Gardner residence.

Gardner District Court filings reportedly indicated that Breanna wanted to leave the relationship and take her children to Texas.

On October 22 at around 9:14 a.m., a neighbor called 911, following the children’s arrival at their home. Police responded to the Pennington’s Cherry Street home around 9:20 a.m. and found Breanne in her bed, deceased from a gunshot wound to the face. First responders pronounced her dead at 9:30 a.m.

A search uncovered three spent casings in the bedroom and an autopsy later concluded Breanne’s cause of death was homicide by gunshot wound(s), the warrant revealed.

Security footage showed Aaron Pennington leaving the residence at around 8:50 a.m. on October 22, in a white 2013 BMW sedan. Then, on Monday evening, a bow hunter reportedly discovered Pennington’s abandoned car in the woods off Kenton Street near Camp Collier.

Following the murder, one of Breanna’s friends posted on Facebook that she believed that Aaron Pennington would take his own life.

“Aaron is still on the run although it is thought that he will probably die by suicide,” Breanne’s friend, Erin Mackie, posted on Facebook. “If any of you reading this struggle with mental health, I urge you to seek help.”

Pennington is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 175 pounds. Police said Breanne Pennington owned a gun for protection but neither she nor her husband had a license to carry.

“Please, no one in the public go out and try and look for this guy,” Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said during an October press conference. “If you run into the guy, call the Gardner police, call the state police, call the police department and just back off from anything you might see. But provide us with the information you might get.”

Anyone with information about the case and/or Aaron Penningston’s whereabouts is urged to contact Gardner police, state police, or call 911.
