Accused Killer Teen Stabs and Strangles Grandparents Inside Their SC Home – Crime Online

A 19-year-old South Carolina man is facing charges for the deaths of his grandparents, found deceased in their Westminster home earlier this month.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announced that authorities arrested Levi Kevin Jones shortly before midnight Friday. Jones has been charged with murder (two counts) and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime (two counts).

On January 15, a family member discovered the bodies of Larry Moore, 76, and Sandra Moore, 75, inside their home on Cromer Moore Road.

The arrest warrants provided details regarding the deaths. According to investigators, Larry Moore suffered multiple stab wounds. Sandra Moore died by strangulation.

Jones allegedly used a knife during the commission of the crimes.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) assisted investigators in processing evidence. Authorities have remained in contact with the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office and the Moore family.

A magistrate judge denied Jones’s bond during Saturday’s proceedings. His next scheduled court date is March 12, according to FOX Carolina.

Jones remains behind bars in the Oconee County Detention Center.
