Officials in Georgia said an active shooter situation at an Army base left at least five soldiers injured on Wednesday.
Officials from Fort Stewart said the shooting occurred at the base’s Second Armored Brigade Combat Team area. The wounded soldiers are being treated at Winn Army Community Hospital and the shooter — who has not been named — was taken into custody shortly thereafter, NBC reported.
A motive is undisclosed. The incident remains under investigation.
