Alabama Teen Boy Found Dead Following Emergency Missing Child Alert – Crime Online

An Alabama teen at the center of an Emergency Missing Child Alert has been found dead, and police say two people are in custody.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 16-year-old Michael Anthony Cole, Jr. was last seen January 25 at around 8:30 p.m. in Montgomery. ALEA issued the alert on Monday but by Tuesday morning, canceled it after Cole was found dead.

AL.com reports that police arrested Nedvin Maynard Jones Jr., 18, and Nicholas Treyvon King-Sheppard, 18, and charged them with felony murder.

Arrest documents reportedly stated that Cole was killed after the defendants fired shots into a home at 3545 Gaston Avenue in Montgomery on January 25.

It’s unclear where police found the victim’s body.
