Alexia Umansky & Jake Zingerman Canceled Their Aspen Wedding

It’s true. Alexia Umansky pulled the plug on her Aspen wedding plans.

How to Watch

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter shared the information on September 2, just days before her and Jake Zingerman’s wedding date. But there’s no need to worry, as the longtime couple still has every intention of exchanging “I do’s.” They’re just having the ceremony closer to home.

Alexia Umansky explains why she isn’t getting married in Aspen

“So, we actually planned two different weddings… but the first one was stressful. We ended up canceling that [Aspen] wedding,” Alexia said during an Amazon Live stream with her mom, Kyle Richards. “And then Jake and I started a new wedding here in Los Angeles. And that one’s been very easy and stress-free to plan.”

Kyle Richards praises Alexia Umansky for staying calm before her wedding

Kyle joked that the wedding planning wasn’t exactly “stress-free,” at least not for her; however, she admired Alexia for maintaining her cool throughout the process.

“That’s amazing that you’re so calm like that,” Kyle said before sharing more details on Alexia’s wedding venue. “First of all, you’re my first child getting married… She chose a place that’s basically, sort of a blank canvas, but not really. We had to create the whole vibe. So, in that aspect, it was like, ‘Oh my gosh, we have a lot to get done.’ It wasn’t like pulling up to a hotel and everything’s done and ready. But, anyway, it’s going to be very exciting.”

Alexia said she was far from a “bridezilla” and was “actually feeling very calm” in the days leading up to her wedding.

Elsewhere in the stream, Kyle was asked if it was “hard to believe” that her daughter was getting married.

“I guess not. I mean, a part of me ‘yes,’ because a part of me is like, ‘She’s just a baby,’” Kyle said with a laugh. “But then the other part of me is like, you know, she’s such a family girl, and she’s been with Jake for so long. I’ve known Jake since he was in third grade, so it feels kind of natural.”

Will any Bravolebrities attend Alexia Umansky & Jake Zingerman’s wedding?

Alexia will celebrate her special day alongside her friends and family, including her dad, Mauricio Umansky, as well as her three sisters — Farrah Brittany, Sophia Umansky, and Portia Umansky — all of whom are her maids of honor. But will any Bravolebrities show up to the event? Kyle was previously tight-lipped when pressed on the subject, insisting the guest list was entirely up to Alexia. However, she did confirm that RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp received an invitation.

“Of course,” Kyle said when a viewer asked if Teddi would attend the wedding. “Well, I shouldn’t say, ‘of course.’ Teddi just said, ‘Can I let you know the day of?’ Because sometimes her energy is really low. When she does do immunotherapy, sometimes she doesn’t do well.”

“She has a spot,” Alexia added.

The wedding festivities kicked off on Friday, September 5, with an outdoor rehearsal dinner. Alexia shared several peeks at the intimate event, posting photos of the beautiful banquet tables decorated with wildflower centerpieces and tea candles in mason jars. The dinner was hosted at Kyle’s Encino home, where Alexia and Jake also threw their over-the-top engagement party.

The pre-wedding party was organized by Nicole Hirsty of Cobalt Events, the same company that planned Alexia’s wedding.
