Summer House‘s Amanda Batula gave her honest take on rumors that Kyle Cooke cheated on her during their marriage in a candid moment with a producer.

As the couple rehashed their latest blowup during Season 10, Episode 3, which was filmed roughly six months prior to their eventual separation announcement, Kyle brought up how Amanda knew he was a “social person” before they got engaged and married. Her response? “But I didn’t think ‘social person’ meant cheating.”

That’s when a flashback to seven summers ago reminded viewers of how Kyle previously cheated on Amanda and how they navigated the aftermath of his admitted infidelity.

“Every time you go out, I get DMs telling me that you were up to something suspicious,” Amanda informed Kyle during their present-day conversation on the beach. “And I don’t even bring them all up to you anymore, because it’s just constant.”

In a confessional, a producer asked Amanda point-blank if she thought Kyle had cheated on her.

“I don’t know,” Amanda answered. “I’d like to think not, but he has in the past. And I know that there have been plenty of rumors about it, so who knows? Only Kyle.”

Inside Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke’s beach day argument

The reason Kyle had pulled Amanda aside to the “apology dune” during the group’s beach day in the Hamptons was to smooth over their dinner argument from the previous night. At the time, Kyle had been attempting to apologize to his housemates for his behavior the prior weekend, but ended up storming off after Amanda and Ciara Miller‘s side commentary and laughter interrupted his “heartfelt” moment.

On the beach, Kyle suggested that they needed to “work on” their communication, prompting Amanda to push back, “I’m not gonna do things for you, when you’re not doing things for me. Like, I need you to get your drinking under control, and you’re fully aware of that.”

As the two argued back and forth on the subject, Kyle insisted that their marital issues extended beyond just his drinking. From his perspective, Amanda began “saying no to everything” as soon as they got engaged, but she countered, “Me not going out with you shouldn’t change your faithfulness to me and how intoxicated you get when you go out.”

Kyle, meanwhile, fired back, “You know what I actually think we have an issue with? Compatibility, chemistry, intimacy, I don’t know, common interests. What about that s–t? Oh, it’s about my drinking? What about the days, weeks, months, where you don’t ask me a single question? I don’t know who I married anymore.”

As he walked away, he further declared, “Guess what? I’m done. Hey, maybe get some curiosity, drive, intention, personality…”

Once Kyle had cooled down, he eventually returned and apologized to Amanda. After they both claimed to be “sad and depressed” about the state of their relationship, they exchanged I love yous and hugged it out. “But, like, something’s gotta change, Kyle,” Amanda said. “I’m tired of having the same conversation every summer, aren’t you?”

Kyle, for his part, replied, “Yeah. I just feel very lost.”

Amanda Batula expressed self-doubt prior to her and Kyle Cooke’s split

Earlier on Summer House‘s Feb. 17 episode, Ciara had gone to check on Amanda in the aftermath of their dinnertime drama with Kyle.

After insisting that she was “fine,” Amanda continued, “Moments like this, I don’t just forget about it, even though I act like I do. Like, it makes me nervous, like, how are you going to treat our children?”

Ciara, meanwhile, agreed with her friend’s concerns, adding, “I’m not saying [this] because he’s a bad guy, but you do deserve better.”

As Amanda concluded, “No, you’re right. I don’t know. Sometimes I just don’t know if I’d ever be good enough for someone else.”
