Not even Andy Cohen can believe what’s in store for the upcoming series, Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition.
The host of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen touched on the new limited series when cast member Angie Katsanevas of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City appeared on the Sept. 16 episode of WWHL. Andy could hardly contain his excitement when he said, “I cannot wait for Housewives Wife Swap. This show is blowing me away.”
He didn’t say much else about the epic crossover event, but he did remind audiences that Wife Swap will premiere Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Angie offered up a preview of her own, too.
Angie Katsanevas details filming Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition
As Angie put it on WWHL, “It was an incredible, life-changing experience. I bonded with the children, I bonded with the family, it was amazing. I don’t know what else to say.”
Andy again said, “I can’t wait to see it,” noting that Angie’s husband, Shawn Trujillo — appearing behind the bar at the Bravo clubhouse — also got a “new wife” as part of the experiment. The husband confirmed, and Angie jokingly said, “Let’s see if he keeps her, if he keeps me.”
Fans got a taste of what’s to come from the just-dropped just-dropped trailer, during which Angie told her husband and 14-year-old daughter, Elektra Trujillo, that she was off to Idaho. Elektra’s playful prediction? “You’re gonna die.”

What fans can expect from Angie Katsanevas on Wife Swap
Angie’s standalone installment of the limited series will serve as Wife Swap’s debut episode titled “Overdressed and Underprepared.”
In her bio, Angie is described as a Housewife “who loves brand names, beauty, and micromanaging family” and must trade places with Lindsay Flake, a former Mormon and off-the-grid homesteader “whose family lives without electricity, running water, and rules.” The experience begs the question, “Will Angie survive without her beloved materialistic items?” Furthermore, can Lindsay teach Shawn and Elektra “to value nature over luxury?”
What is Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition?
The four-part series event will feature one Housewife per episode, in which they “step out of their stilettos” and “step into another real wife’s shoes,” according to the show’s announcement.
In addition to Angie, the fish-out-of-water styled series will follow Housewives Melissa Gorga of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dr. Wendi Osefo of The Real Housewives of Potomac, and Emily Simpson of The Real Housewives of Orange County, switching places with the non-Bravolebs and “swapping their everyday comforts and luxuries to fully immerse themselves in a vastly different familial experience.”
According to the announcement, “Through unexpected conflicts, eye-opening moments, and emotional breakthroughs, the journey challenges everything they thought they knew about themselves and the world around them.” It continues, “Through this process, the Real Housewives will question if they can appreciate the lives they left behind and conversely, the real wives will question whether the aspirational lives showcased on reality TV are truly as glamorous as they appear.”
