Amid all the candor during Andy Cohen’s no-holds-barred interview with Karen Huger on The Real Housewives of Potomac‘s Season 10 finale, he underscored one specific moment that stood out the most to him.
Near the end of their sit-down at Karen’s home — which took place in September 2025, one week after she was released from prison after serving six months behind bars on a DUI conviction — Andy returned to her earlier statement that she was currently sober.
Karen had already admitted to him that she rejected her legal counsel’s advice to accept a plea deal, because she was “in denial” and “still under the influence” of “prescription drugs and alcohol,” at the time. That was also the reason she gave in claiming that she had avoided watching the police bodycam footage from her March 2024 arrest until after she entered rehab.

“I think you talking about the denial you were in is perhaps the biggest revelation that I’m feeling from you,” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host remarked. “I think that that’s a very big deal that you say you were in denial. Because you seemed like you were in denial, with all due respect.”
Karen replied, “I was,” before adding that it “took a long time” for her to realize that was the case.
“A year and a half, I’ve been working on that,” she elaborated. “So, I sort of forgive Karen. I really am at a place where I just love her now, you know? I’m embracing her and I’m excited to see where she’ll go.”
After Andy said he was “proud” of her, Karen continued, “I encourage anyone who is going through any type of addiction to seek help.”

Karen had also taken accountability while owning up to some accusations that her castmates previously made on the RHOP Season 9 reunion, which she had not seen until Andy played some clips during their chat.
“I don’t think they’re wrong for jumping to conclusions or drawing their own conclusions,” Karen conceded. “But only I am the author of my life, you know? So, I’m not angry.”
Andy further pointed out that some viewers felt that Karen “should not be brought back into this platform,” before asking her to plead the case for why she deserves a “second chance” on RHOP.
“I don’t know that I do,” Karen answered. “You have to earn that. … We’ll see.”
She also insisted that the show had “not at all” contributed to her “addiction” issues.
“The show actually saved me,” Karen elaborated to Andy. “It occupied me. I think I would have spiraled quicker without it. It gave me discipline. I had a routine. So, I can’t hate it. I don’t hate it. And I don’t need to blame it either. No, I was responsible for me. I was sick. I have the disease of alcoholism. I have the disease of, you know, taking prescription medicine and abusing it. That’s me.”
Regardless, Karen said that she was ready to face the ladies on the RHOP Season 10 reunion, which filmed afterward and kicks off on Feb. 15: “It’s always been a hornet’s nest. I’m gonna be fine.”

The RHOP cast shares their hopes for Karen Huger’s future
Meanwhile, on The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show for Episode 17, several Season 10 cast members — including Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Angel Massie, Keiarna Stewart, and friend Monique Samuels — shared their hopes for Karen’s future.
After commenting that it seemed as though Karen “learned some things” in prison, Gizelle gushed, “I love Karen. I miss my girl. So, hopefully she’ll be back soon.”
Ashley, for her part, added, “I just hope that in the time — thankfully, relatively short time that she was there — that she was able to reflect and really listen to herself and figure out what she really needs as a human.”
That’s when Monique chimed in, “I hope that she’s found herself and can take better care of herself and her health and take better care of Karen, you know? She deserves that.”
Similarly, Keiarna shared, “I hope for Karen that she’s able to center herself and find out what’s gonna make Karen happy next, and just really take time to rediscover herself and just move forward. … She served her time, she’s paid her dues, and now it’s time for Karen to figure out what’s gonna be the next best thing for Karen.”
Though newbie Angel noted that she doesn’t know Karen, she echoed Keiarna’s sentiments before ultimately imploring her to “come back and wrangle these women, because Gizelle is not doing the job.”
