Andy Cohen is no stranger to playing referee, but it’s a rare occasion that he’s able to settle a dispute with real-time clarification directly from the source. That’s exactly what happened on Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 reunion amid a heated argument involving Katie Ginella, Shannon Storms Beador, and Jennifer Pedranti.
The RHOC reunion drama began when Andy brought up that Alexis Bellino claimed on a recent podcast that Shannon was trying to ice out Tamra Judge to get her off the show. Though Tamra agreed that Alexis’ statement was “100 percent” true, Shannon insisted, “I don’t try to ice anyone out.”
Shannon’s denial immediately caught the attention of Katie, who exited the group after the polygraph test in Episode 9. (Katie briefly returned for a sitdown with Tamra during Episode 14.)
“So, you didn’t call production in the middle of the season and say, ‘I’m uncomfortable. I feel unsafe around Katie. I want Gretchen to have her orange. I want her out.’?” Katie asked Shannon. “You didn’t say that?”

After Shannon responded, “Absolutely not,” Katie turned to Jenn, whom she said was the one who told her about the supposed conversation with an RHOC executive producer named Alex around the time of the New Orleans cast trip.
“Are we going back to that?” Shannon fumed. “You’re gonna go to Jenn to corroborate the things you make up?”
That’s when the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host stepped in and announced, “Alex just said in my ear that they never spoke,” effectively ending the disagreement.

A bit later, Andy pointed out that Shannon “appeared to re-follow Katie on Instagram,” prompting the two to clarify that she “never unfollowed” her in the first place.
Still, he asked if they were “in a better place now,” to which Katie replied, “We haven’t spoken.” Shannon, for her part, simply responded, “No.”
Elsewhere on RHOC‘s Nov. 6 episode, Katie also doubled down on her denial that she’d played a secret recording of Shannon for Alexis (more on that below). Katie even challenged Alexis to tell her exactly what Shannon was saying in the recording, if she’d really heard it for herself.
Amidst the discussion of that Season 19 drama, Tamra interjected to point out that Shannon had “filmed people without their knowledge” in the past, specifically referencing an incident involving Vicki Gunvalson.Â

In response, Shannon, who confirmed she recorded Vicki in the past, suggested they just “drop it” and move on, before Tamra “hurt somebody” else.
As Tamra explained her motive to Andy, “She’s going after Katie about it when she’s done the same thing. That’s being a hypocrite.”
Though Shannon didn’t speak up when the WWHL host asked if anyone wanted to apologize to Katie, she did, however, concede that she was “not happy with” what she said during their heated argument at Heather Dubrow’s birthday party.

Though Katie and Shannon kicked off RHOC Season 19 on good terms, their friendship quickly soured in Episode 2 when Gina Kirschenheiter revealed that the former had secretly recorded her “having a full-blown meltdown” during the previous year’s cast gallery shoot.
Explaining that the Shannon had disrupted a business call she was on at the time, Katie owned up to making the recording — but insisted that she only sent it to husband Matt Ginella to explain why she had to hang up the phone. Alexis, meanwhile, claimed to Heather that Katie had played it for her too, though.
Then, Katie sat down with Shannon at Heather’s Episode 3 belated birthday bash to take accountability and apologize. Shannon, who pointed out that she’d been in a lawsuit with Alexis’ now-husband, John Janssen, at the time of the recording, wasn’t interested in Katie’s mea culpa, though.
