Angel Massie is shedding new light on her and her husband Bobby Massie’s phone call with Gizelle Bryant on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10, Episode 11.
Angel had been late to the “Potomac & Ponies” party during the episode, prompting the champagne holders to call her on the phone and ask her about her whereabouts. Angel didn’t give the women a direct answer on the phone call, resulting in Bobby stating “We’ll get there when we get there” over the phone.
Angel then appeared on The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show, where she addressed Bobby’s comments on the call and revealed why she had showed up to the party so late. “You know why I was late? Because I had to move to a new home and all my s—t was in boxes,” she explained.
“And I grace them with my presence, even though I had to fish around said boxes to find my cowgirl hat and make an appearance,” Angel continued. “And I think that was very kind of me.”
“Anyone else would not have shown up to that,” she added. “Anyone else would have given themselves grace and space to chill after they had moved. But instead I said, ‘I’m going to be there.’ I was a little late. My sitter was a little late finding the house. I mean, it was just a lot going on and so I was late. I mean, sue me.”

Gizelle, for her part, said she was bothered by Bobby’s comments when she heard him speak on the phone. “I was undone,” she explained during the RHOP After Show. “First of all, for Bobby to say ‘We get there when we get there’ was like, well you can turn your love around and go home,” she said.
“We don’t need that kind of energy, we’re not on that kind of time, you are two hours late,” she added. “You should be saying ‘Hey, sorry we’re running late, we’re trying to get there as soon as possible.'”

“We’re not making excuses,” she added. “We all have children, we’re all busy.”
Angel Massie responds to Ashley Darby’s catfish jab
During the party, Ashley Darby shaded Angel once she arrived, because Ashley had brought catfish as her potluck dish for the event. This was a callback to Gizelle’s comments earlier in the season, where she accused Angel of “catfishing” with the photos she posted to social media.
Angel responded to Ashley bringing catfish to the event during the RHOP After Show. “I think it’s shocking that she’s so immature at that age,” Angel said. “It seems like she’s trying to find a moment from me. And you want to talk about finding a moment? I am very confused by someone who can try to act like they want to have a friendship with you and then do something so childish.”

“I think she’s nasty, I think she’s not a good friend, I think that she is a liar,” Angel continued. “I think that she tries to deflect all that’s wrong with her life and put it on somebody else and I think that I am not responsible for the image that someone paints in their mind of who I am. I am only responsible for what my husband and my children and my friends think. And I do not care.”
