Another Juror Dismissed from ‘Other Woman’ Michelle Troconis Trial – Crime Online

A second juror has been dismissed in the Michelle Troconis trial after the juror drew a comparison between the case and the Ben Affleck movie, “Gone Girl.”

On Friday, Judge Kevin Randolph informed attorneys that he had received a note indicating that one of the jurors discussed the case in the presence of other jurors. The juror reportedly mentioned that the Troconis case was widely discussed on social media and drew parallels to the 2014 movie, “Gone Girl.”

In “Gone Girl,” a character, portrayed by Rosamund Pike, stages her death to frame her unfaithful husband. The judge called for a recess to speak with the jurors and upon returning from the break, announced the dismissal.

Following standard court procedures in Connecticut, jurors are prohibited from sharing their views with fellow jurors, either through verbal discussions or online postings.

Earlier this week, another alternate juror was excused from the case after saying, “We love you,” directed at a prosecutor overseeing the trial’s evidence.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Troconis, who was dating Fotis at the time Jennifer vanished, is charged with murder conspiracy and evidence tampering.

Prosecutors allege she helped Fotis Dulos concoct a timeline of his whereabouts on the day Jennifer vanished, and that she watched him put garbage bags with crime evidence into different trash bins.

Before her disappearance, Jennifer had become entangled in a contentious divorce and child custody battle with Fotis, who was allegedly dating Michelle Troconis in secret at the time.

Fotis was later charged with murdering Jennifer at her New Canaan, Connecticut, home, but he took his own life in January 2020, leaving Troconis to face the legal consequences alone.

Troconis has denied all charges against her.

The trial is expected to last around six weeks. Check back for updates.
