“After surviving countless attempts to sabotage my relationship, Will and I are engaged,” Emmy shared during a confessional on the March 4th Season 4 premiere. 

Of their engagement, which took place in May 2025 in France, Emmy said, “It was beautiful, it was right at sunset, it was gorgeous, it was perfect. And everyone else can go f—k themselves.”

The couple previously told PEOPLE that they got engaged while they were on vacation in the South of France just outside of the Lily of the Valley Hotel. Will proposed to Emmy at sunset during a romantic walk on the beach, with a photographer there to capture all of the super sweet moment.

How did Emmy Sharrett meet Will Kulp?

Emmy and Will first met at an F45 gym in Charleston, before he started following her on Instagram. “Will was my F45 trainer. I just remember I posted on my birthday and you responded to my story,” she explained during a March 2025 episode of The Viall Files alongside Will. “I was dating someone else at the time and you responded to my story and you were like, ‘Oh my God, we have the same birthday.’ And I was like, ‘No way.’…And then a few months later — honestly, three months later — we started seeing each other.”

When did Emmy Sharrett and Will Kulp start dating?

Emmy and Will began dating in 2021. By the time Southern Hospitality Season 1 aired, Emmy and Will had been dating for six months, but had already broken up once before.

“When I left Will it was because I wanted more and I didn’t think he wanted the same,” Emmy explained during Southern Hospitality Season 1, Episode 2. “I never expected Will to come back with love letters, diamond earrings. He was pursuing me as hard as anyone has ever pursued me.”

Emmy Sharrett and Will Kulp’s cheating rumors, explained 

Rumors about Will cheating on Emmy first began during Southern Hospitality Season 2 after cast members accused Will of making out with another girl in a bathroom during a boys night. Both Emmy and Will denied the rumors, which continued into Southern Hospitality Season 3, after Will had vented about his relationship to cast members TJ Dinch and Bradley Carter.

Emmy spoke with Entertainment Tonight in January 2025, where she continued to defend Will against the rumors. “I’m not dumb,” she said. “If Will did cheat on me, I would never speak to him again. Goodbye…I take no sh—t. I know Will like the back of my hand. That man, he’s never cheated on me. He’s many things, but a cheater is not one of them.”

“Will has 110 percent been faithful to me,” Emmy added to Us Weekly in January 2025. “I would dump Will in two seconds if he did cheat on me.”

From the start of their relationship, Emmy had always envisioned a future with Will, encouraging him to follow in his dad’s footsteps and become a lawyer. “I see Will on [our 40th birthday] with him having his own law firm. Two kids. A beautiful house in Charleston,” she said during a confessional on Southern Hospitality Season 1, Episode 7.

She continued to share her own vision for her future as Will’s wife during Southern Hospitality Season 1, Episode 8. “I’ll be a housewife,” she explained during a confessional. “I’ll be at home taking care of the kids, cleaning the house. A little wine at 5. There’s nothing wrong with being a trophy wife.”

Emmy Sharrett and Will Kulp reveal their favorite things about each other

Emmy spoke with PEOPLE after their engagement, where she shared her favorite things about her fiancé. “I love everything about Will. I love the way he loves, I love how he thinks, I love his intelligence, his family,” she said. “I love how hardworking and determined he is. I love that we have the same birthday, I love the way he says my name, and I love waking up next to him.”

Will returned the favor to his partner, also telling the publication everything that he loves about her. “I love her childish wonder and sense of humor,” he noted. “I love her eye for a good meal and her desire for adventure. I love the way she loves me. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”

Details on Emmy Sharrett’s engagement ring

Will proposed to Emmy with an emerald-cut diamond ring on a gold band that he custom-designed with the help of Emmy’s mom. “The ring is extra special because both of our mothers have emerald cut engagement rings,” Emmy told the publication.

Emmy FaceTimed with Southern Hospitality cast member Maddi Reese after getting engaged. In the screenshot from the call, posted to Maddi’s Instagram Story, Emmy can be seen showing off her dazzling diamond and gold engagement ring. “Ahhhh so happy for my girl,” Maddi wrote over the photo.

Emmy Sharett opens up about wedding planning with Will Kulp

Emmy spoke with Us Weekly at BravoCon 2025 in November, where she revealed that Will is still in law school, and they are taking their time with planning their wedding, admitting that they are “still trying to find a date.”

“Wedding plans are going,” she said. “It’s exhausting. It’s a lot.”

However, she told the publication that she doesn’t mind having a “long engagement.”

“You’re single for a long time. You’re married for a long time. Like, be engaged for a minute, you know?” she added. “I walk around [and] can just be like, ‘Oh my God, I just got engaged.’ And so it’s so fun.”
