Are things heating up between Southern Charm’s Venita Aspen and Summer House’s Carl Radke? She shed new light on the budding romance during the Jan. 14 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“You know, we’re taking it one day at a time; going out on dates and trying to get to know each other better,” the Charlestonian revealed to Andy Cohen.
That said, Venita was “unfortunately” unable to meet the New York City-based Bravoleb and founder of Brooklyn’s Soft Bar + Café during her current trip to the Big Apple. However, she told Andy and fellow WWHL guest, The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Porsha Williams, that she and Carl are both navigating the relationship with intention.
Venita went on to describe Carl as “very intentional, and a very hard worker, and very kind,” adding, “He’s tall with a great smile,” to all of which Andy agreed.
“She’s glowing,” Porsha noted.

Venita copped to going on a date with Carl during the Dec. 23 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. For their first get-together, they met at Carl’s non-alcoholic establishment in NYC before taking the date elsewhere.

“We went to Soft Bar, of course, first, and I got to see that whole experience,” Venita shared. “Then we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant around the corner.”
She said they “shut the place down” and “had to be asked to leave,” adding, “I think it lasted for almost five hours.” When retelling the story to host Amanda Hirsch, Venita said she was “sweating” because she found Carl “cute.”

Carl addressed his and Venita’s fond relationship at BravoCon 2025, two years after abruptly breaking off his engagement to Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard. But first, he was lightheartedly confronted at The Summer House Always Wins panel on Nov. 15 about the fact that he’d been “open” in the past to liaising with other female Bravolebs, including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Dorit Kemsley.

“Well, I had a great time hanging out with Venita yesterday,” he spilled. “Venita is beautiful; she’s really cool. We’ve known each other kind of through Ciara [Miller] … Venita’s actually been at the summer house. Venita and I got to know each other a bit more yesterday, so we’ll see.”
Southern Charm-er Austen Kroll, elsewhere at BravoCon, commented on the “little love connection potentially flourishing” between Venita and Carl. “I was talking to Carl earlier, and I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t think Venita is a ‘Wham, bam, thank you ma’am; You’re gonna have to wine and dine her,’” Austen said. “And he was like, ‘That is right up my alley.'”
Craig Conover and Molly O’Connell, on separate WWHL episodes in December, also gave the smitten pair their blessing.
