Next Gen NYC‘s Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy confirmed on Tuesday, Oct. 14 that they have broken up after three years of dating.
Ariana took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, where she posted a statement about their split. Hudson, who had been sharing an apartment with Ariana in NYC, re-posted it to his own Instagram Story shortly after.
“Hudson and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she wrote. “While these things are never easy, we both know it’s what’s best for us right now. We are so grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the years. Sometimes life takes you in different directions and that’s OK. Love you all.”

What Ariana Biermann said about engagement to Hudson McLeroy before split
Ariana spoke with The Daily Dish at DIRECTV’s Plot Twist – Featuring Bravo event in New York City on Aug. 12, two months before the split, where she admitted that she had a rule for Hudson surrounding the future of their relationship.
“I mean, so this might sound crazy, but I have a five-year rule,” Kim Zolciak’s daughter explained. “So, if he doesn’t propose in five years, which is in a little less than two years, it’s a no.”
“But I don’t want to rush him, you know, make him feel, like, pressure,” she continued. “But he really talks about it all the time. So I’m like, ‘Stop talking about it and do it or don’t do it.’ Everybody’s getting engaged! Really, everybody.”
How long did Ariana Biermann date Hudson McLeroy?
Ariana first met Hudson when she was 14 years old. She told The Daily Dish that they had been “on-and-off” since then, but had been steady for the past three years.

How did Ariana Biermann meet Hudson McLeroy?
Ariana and Hudson met through Ariana’s older sister, Brielle Biermann, who met Hudson while she was on vacation. “My sister saw him on the beach when we were 14 and we were in Florida, and she saw him on the beach and was like, ‘Oh my God, I need to get your Snapchat and see a picture of you. You’d be the love of my sister’s life,'” she explained during a July 10 appearance on Comments by Celebs.Â

Ariana and Hudson continued to talk on Snapchat and meet in person after Brielle introduced them. But, they spent time apart, before reconnecting years later. She admitted on the podcast that this helped strengthen their relationship.Â

“I feel like we both just needed to experience dating other people and experience life on our own,” she admitted. “Because I don’t think we’d be able to be together now for three years if we had been together consistently for the last nine. Like, that would be crazy.”
