Armed Lyft Driver Opens Fire on Passengers for Slamming Car Door – Crime Online

A Lyft driver in Florida was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly shooting at his customers.

WRBW reported that aerial footage from an Orange County police helicopter showed two brothers on someone’s front porch — with one of the men lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his foot and stomach. Police in the helicopter reportedly also spotted another man, identified as Rolando Rivera-Casillas, who was standing by a car with his hands on the vehicle and a gun on the hood.

Officers apprehended Rivera-Casillas, who the shooting victim claimed he and his brother got into a verbal argument with. The brothers said the driver was upset because they slammed his car doors.

Rivera-Casillas allegedly kicked the brothers out his car and threatened to shoot them. According to WRBW, surveillance footage showed him firing about five shots at the men as they fled on foot.

Rivera-Casillas, who was charged with attempted second-degree murder, remains jailed without bond. Lyft confirmed to WESH that they terminated him in light of Wednesday’s incident.
