Arsenal make a clean sweep at London Football Awards as captain Martin Odegaard picks up player of the year prize, Bukayo Saka is named best youngster and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta the capital’s top manager

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has won the Premier League Player of The Year award at the London Football Awards.Â
The Norway international has been a key player for the Gunners this season in their attempt to win a first league title in 19 years, contributing with 10 goals and six assists.Â
Odegaard beat off competition from Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Brentford striker Ivan Toney, Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic and Arsenal team-mate Bukayo Saka to claim the big prize.Â
‘I just want to share this with the whole team.It’s great to see the club being recognised with all the awards,’ the midfielder said.Â
‘I think it shows how far we’ve come as a club and what we’re doing this year is very special.’Â

Bukayo Saka took home the Young Player of The Year for the second time, having also won it in 2021, while Aaron Ramsdale was named Goalkeeper of The Year.Â
Mikel Arteta won the manager’s prize and he paid tribute to his players, staff and fans in his acceptance speech.Â
‘I would like to thank you for the award, for all my colleagues, all the staff, everyone at the club that inspires & supports me and obviously all the supporters that support our club and football in general,’ the Spaniard said.Â
Arsenal sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League table after a convincing 3-0 win over London rivals Fulham on Sunday.Â
The Gunners will return to action against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League on Thursday before hosting Crystal Palace on the weekend. Â
