Authorities Identify Burning Man Festival Murder Victim – Crime Online

Nevada authorities have identified a man found dead in a pool of blood at the annual Burning Man Festival over the weekend.

Vadim Kruglov, 37, was found dead Saturday night at around the time the titular man began to burn, the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family has been notified. Cause and manner of death have not been determined.

Kruglov was said to be a Russian native who lived in Tacoma, Washington.

The Pershing County Sheriff’s Office said one of its deputies was flagged down by a participant in the largely affluent, avante garde festival in the Nevada desert Saturday night and reported finding “a male subject lying in a pool of blood,” as CrimeOnline reported.

Deputies and rangers from the Bureau of Land Management responded to the campsite and found a man “lying on the ground, obviously deceased” at the festival site, about 110 miles north of Reno in the Black Rock Desert.

Investigators are asking anyone at the festival who was in the area of “8:30” and “I” between 8 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. that night to come forward.

Anyone with information should contact the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office at 775-273-5111, ask for Josh Nicholson, and reference case number 25-318. Tips can also be emailed to [email protected].
