Banking Software Employee Found Dead at Home, Cops Investigating as Domestic Violence Murder – Crime Online

San Francisco police are investigating the death of a 27-year-old woman found dead in her apartment last week as a domestic violence homicide, but no arrests have been made.

Kimberly Wong, who worked at banking software firm Plaid, lived with her boyfriend in an apartment on Clay Street, the San Francisco Standard reported.

Police came to the apartment shortly after 7 p.m. on Thursday for a welfare check and found Wong dead.

“This is an active homicide investigation, and we are not releasing any additional information or confirming any information at this time in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation,” San Francisco police Sgt. Kathryn Winters said Monday afternoon.

Neighbors told the Standard they weren’t close to the couple but were acquainted. One neighbor who lived directly next door said he and his wife never heard anything unusual coming from the apartment, noting that “our walls are pretty thin.” He said he could hear Wong playing the piano, but last week they was out of town.

Police have provided few details about Wong’s death or what brought them to the apartment in the first place.
