Friends and family are bewildered this week after the shooting death of a beloved Atlanta area middle school teacher last weekend.
John Goodwin, 27, was found dead Saturday in southwest Atlanta, WSB reported. Twenty-four hours later, police issued arrest warrants for Denisha Rosser for murder, and she was taken into custody in South Carolina.
Police have not released any details about the murder or a possible motive. WSB said that court records showed that at one point, Rosser and Goodwin lived together in an Atlanta apartment.
Ava Williams, principal of Renaissance Middle School in Fairburn, said Goodwin was “a great guy” who “got along with everyone, all of our students, faculty and staff.”
“Everyone loved him,” she said.
She said his students have made cards that will be presented to Goodwin’s family at a memorial service.
