Brianna Duffield may be heading full steam ahead toward a career unlike what audiences have seen on Below Deck Down Under.
The New Jersey-bred superyacht stewardess revealed as much while sharing a life update in an Aug. 7 Instagram post. In the caption, she listed nearly a dozen of her achievements, including the fact that she “recently got into medical school” — but there’s a twist.
“[I] have deferred until I knew I was ready to commit my life to it,” Brianna added.
On a related note, she also revealed that she previously graduated magna cum laude with a health sciences degree.
“I’ve made unconventional choices and followed gut feelings over perfect plans — and I’m still just getting started,” Brianna added in the caption of the post, which featured a slow-motion video of herself twirling elegantly in a white dress. “Life isn’t always about having a plan — sometimes it’s about collecting stories, saying yes before you’re ready, and trusting that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.”

What does Brianna from Below Deck Down Under do for a living?
In the August Instagram post, Brianna said that she “still sometimes” is a superyacht stewardess, “exploring the world by sea and living a life most people only see in movies.” She also noted that occasionally takes jobs as part of her high-fashion modeling career.
“But I don’t depend on it,” Brianna added of modeling. “Getting to turn modeling into a passion has been the happiest I’ve been in the industry.”

Brianna, whose on-board romance with Harry Van Vliet played out on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, joined her ex and a handful of their former shipmates to ring in Harry’s 25th birthday earlier this year in Cape Town, South Africa. Nate Salmon, Nicolas Cattelan, Marina Marcondes de Barros, and Adair Werely were among those who joined in on the celebrations.
Elsewhere, a couple of months after the Below Deck Down Under Season 3 finale, Brianna posted a series of photos with her fellow cast members on Instagram, captioning, “Bits & pieces of this past year running into some of my fav peeps all over the world.”
She was spotted partying it up with Adair, Nate, and Anthony Bird, later taking snaps with Johnny Arvanitis. A pampering sesh with Lara Rigby and sushi nights with Captain Jason Chambers also made Bri’s adventures all the worthwhile.

Although Bri and Harry had a good thing going whilst sailing around the Seychelles, the lead deckhand admitted they “broke up a few months after filming.”
“Once filming wrapped, we planned to travel as much as we could, and we did!” Harry wrote in an Instagram post in June. “Visiting Africa, the Middle East, the US, Europe, and even SE Asia! We had a blast but inevitably we had to go back to work which meant doing long distance which took a toll on our relationship and led to us breaking up.”

Despite Bri and Harry’s romance losing steam once back on land, both maintain that their friendship is still strong.
“After traveling the world together, Harry and I remain great friends,” Bri told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “We keep in contact, and he gives me great travel recommendations.”
Harry added, “We are still friends and in contact to this day.”
