Harry Van Vliet has been busy traveling all over the world since the conclusion of Below Deck Down Under Season 3 in May.
Since leaving the Katina, the deckhand is no longer in a relationship with steward Brianna Duffield (more on that down below), but the Australia native has been happy to be traveling solo all across the world, and, most recently, the United States.
Harry took to Instagram in late July where he revealed that he took a “25 hour American roadtrip” from Colorado to Maryland with his dog, Pascal. “Maybe not the ideal road trip, but I get to tick off some new U.S. states,” he wrote in the caption of the post.
Harry also got to explore some museums in Washington D.C. once he was on the East Coast, and even take a tour of the White House, which was a “unique experience” for him. But he also got to spend plenty of time in Annapolis, Maryland, which he called a “sailor town” in the caption of his Instagram post.
In photos from his trip to Maryland, Harry can be seen hanging out on a boat in the Chesapeake Bay, exploring downtown Annapolis, and eating plenty of seafood. “Been eating the famous blue crab, oysters, and so much more seafood!” Harry wrote in the caption.

Following his trip to the United States, Harry revealed that he will be heading to his home of Australia. “Off back to Australia later this week after just over a year having been away from home!” he wrote in the caption of an Instagram post.
How Harry Van Vliet spent his 25th birthday
Harry, who was born on April 1, was able to celebrate his 25th birthday surrounded by the Katina crew. The deckhand took to Instagram on May 30, where he posted a photo of him hanging out with Bri; BDDU Season 3 bosun, Nate Salmon; deckhand Nicolas Cattelan; stew Marina Marcondes de Barros; and deckhand, Adair Werley.

“I was lucky enough to celebrate my 25th birthday with the crew in Cape Town after filming!” Harry wrote in the caption of the post. “The crew put together a beautiful cheeseboard for me (you all know how much I love a cheese board) and organized a lovely bday dinner.”

Following the end of BDDU Season 3, Harry also took to Instagram where he revealed that he and Bri broke up “a few months after filming.”
“Once filming wrapped, we planned to travel as much as we could and we did!” he wrote in the caption of the now-deleted Instagram post.
“Visiting Africa, the Middle East, the US, Europe, and even SE Asia! We had a blast but inevitably we had to go back to work, which meant doing long distance which took a toll on our relationship and led to us breaking up,” he continued. “We have no hard feelings towards each other and I still consider her a friend of mine and wish her nothing but the best.”

In an interview with The Daily Dish, Harry gave more insight into why things didn’t work out between them. “We traveled a bit, but then we had a difficult time with the long-distance relationship,” he admitted. “We are still friends and in contact to this day.”
