Britani Bateman and Jared Osmond have apparently called it quits… for good.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City friend dropped the news during a recent sit-down at Bravo HQ, confirming she and her on-again, off-again boyfriend were now strictly platonic.

“We’re friends. That’s our official title, and the title is made by me,” she said. “I typed it out and printed it out, and labeled it, ‘Friends.’ We’re best friends… and I don’t want any more than that. And it will never be any more than that.”
Viewers learned more about the relationship in the RHOSLC Season 5 premiere, when Britani revealed she and Jared had “broken up 16 times” over the course of eight months.
“I feel like I’m on this hamster wheel of dating other people, breaking up, and getting back together,” she explained at the time. “It’s like, ‘Ugh, I’m a crazy person,’ but there’s just something about him. Mm, he’s yummy.”

Since then, the formerly engaged couple have parted ways and reconciled multiple times, which understandably caused a lot of drama within Britani’s personal life. (As seen in Season 6, Episode 6, Britani’s relationship with Jared fueled tensions between her and her daughter, Olivia Bateman.) But now that they’re solidly in the friend zone, Britani insisted she felt much better about her dynamic with Jared, as it is no longer plagued by doubts or pressures of commitment.

“We’ve had so many toxic breakups, and we get back together,” she said at Bravo HQ. “It’s been so drama-filled. It’s really nice right now that it’s drama-free… There’s nothing to complain about. I don’t expect any commitment, and I’m not getting any commitment… We’re friends. It’s a really healthy, good spot to be.”

Britani said she and Jared are “completely open” these days and have chosen to be “brutally honest” going forward, no matter how difficult the truth may be.
“That’s the beauty of it. I think that is priority No. 1 in any relationship — parent-child, friendships, lovers, situationships, anything — you have to be brutally honest… And we’re really, really honest with each other. He knows exactly where I stand, and I know exactly where he stands.”
Britani is closing out 2025 on a very exciting note. Back in October, the Salt Lake City mom headed to New York City to prepare for her first headlining cabaret show.
