There’s no place like home for the holidays, which is why The Valley’s Brittany Cartwright just took her and Jax Taylor’s son, 4-year-old Cruz Michael Cauchi, back to her native Kentucky for Christmas this year.
Brittany and Cruz celebrated Christmas with Brittany’s family — including her mom, Sherri Cartwright — for Christmas spent at her family’s farm. In fact, former Vanderpump Rules cast member took her followers inside the trip to Kentucky and all the fun moments. In several videos, the family poked fun at themselves by saying everyday words with their signature Kentucky accent. They could hardly contain their laughter when repeating into the mirror words like “Tuesday” and “wash,” even though Sherri attempted to talk like “freakin’ Siri,” according to the former Vanderpump Rules cast member. “You are trying not to sound like yourself,” Brittany laughed. “This is why people think we fake out accents.”
Arts and crafts were also part of their “Kentucky Time” fun, as was a visit to see Santa Claus himself. In a photo with Cruz on the big guy’s lap, Brittany wrote in an Instagram Stories post, “He would NOT wear the Christmas sweater I got him, but at least the Gucci sneakers made it.”

Last month, the single mom gave an update on how she continues to co-parent Cruz amid her separation from Jax — who exited The Valley after Season 2.

“You know, I think Jax is trying to work on himself,” Brittany told listeners. “So I hope that, you know, we can continue to work on our co-parenting relationship and just get better and stronger all the time. And hopefully, one day, it will be a very successful co-parenting relationship, because that’s what really matters. Cruz is always going to come first.”
Is Brittany Cartwright divorced from Jax Taylor yet?
Brittany officially filed for divorce in August 2024 after five years of marriage, but the couple is still technically married. Still, Brittany doesn’t think of their current marital situation as permanent.
As she revealed on the Dec. 12 episode of her podcast, she hoped the divorce would be finalized “within a month.” “I mean, this has just been a process,” she elaborated. “Oh my gosh, a lot of things I obviously can’t talk about yet, but just, I’m hoping, fingers crossed, that it will happen soon.”
She explained at BravoCon 2025 that the original date of divorce had been “pushed back.”
