Although Britani Bateman’s relationship status with Jared Osmond is often “it’s complicated,” The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member stunned everyone on the cast’s group trip when she boarded Below Deck Down Under motor yacht Katina with a stuffed unicorn that recited in Jared’s recorded voice: “Goodnight, baby. You are loved.” That astonishment was even more stark on the second day’s breakfast, as Bronwyn Newport made a stunning accusation about Britani’s romantic pursuits.
“Did you not tell Captain Jason [Chambers], ‘I’d love to get out of here?’” Bronwyn asks Britani in the above preview of RHOSLC Season 6, Episode 8, airing Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Although Britani denies the allegation with an emphatic “no,” Meredith Marks adds to it.
“I mean, the girls and I were sitting here, and he was coming out of your room last night,” she says. “To me? I don’t know.”
Britani dismisses Meredith’s claim by asking, “Why are you even talking to me?” to which Meredith responds, “I don’t know. That’s a bad idea.” But then, Britani goes on to explain Jason’s presence in her room: “He was fixing the AC.”
Producers seem to back up Britani’s claim by showing a flashback to the previous night at 11:30 p.m. Jason knocks and opens the door to Britani and Bronwyn’s room, calling, “Hello, this is Jason. You okay?”
Britani, in pajamas with a toothbrush, replies, “It’s just like hot in here. So I was wondering if, am I not doing something correctly?” Jason begins to poke around the AC unit and answers, “Let me have a look.”
Britani tells the ‘Wives as they sit around the breakfast table, “No one else was in our room last night. Just my little unicorn and me.”
Lisa Barlows shuts down Britani Bateman and Captain Jason Chambers flirting allegations
Lisa Barlow, who was the target of Heather Gay’s explosive allegations at dinner the previous night, indicates she’s had enough of the questions from the other ‘Wives while on the charter.
“Enough with the pile on,” she chimes in on the Nov. 4 episode preview. “Like, Captain Jason’s not interested. It’s like, duh! Right?”

But then Lisa draws in chief stew Daisy Kelliher.
Lisa exclaims, “Back me up on this, Daisy. Back me up,” as Daisy laughs and is visibly uncomfortable with weighing in. “Daisy, come on! Is he interested? Say, ‘No. Hard no,’” Lisa adds.
As Daisy pours Lisa more water, she answers, “I have no idea.” But Lisa continues to bash the line of questioning. “It’s ridiculous. And like, I feel bad for him. I wouldn’t want my name dragged around in a conversation that I’m not a part of. Don’t do this to people,” she adds.

Are Britani Bateman and Jared Osmond still together?
Although Britani and Jared’s relationship status is ambiguous during the crossover charter, Britani set the record straight on where they stand in August 2025.
“We’re friends,” she admitted to The Daily Dish. “But, you know, you’ll have to see how it plays out this season. Because it does play out this season.”
Britani shocked the ‘Wives during the Sept. 16 episode when she announced, “Jared and I got engaged!” But then moments later, she dropped another bomb: “And…we got unengaged. Two weeks after that.”
Then, in the Oct. 21 episode, Britani decided to “take a step back” from her relationship with Jared in order to focus on “what’s really, really important”: her daughter, Olivia Bateman.
