Bronwyn Newport and husband Todd Bradley’s household has “totally flipped” amid some major life changes on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6.
“It’s been really intense the last couple months,” Bronwyn explained to a producer during Episode 3. “Due to some health challenges, both of my parents moved in with me.”
Bronwyn went on to share that her father has been living with Alzheimer’s disease for more than a decade, and her mom had been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
“She had emergency surgery and is going to be fine and recover,” Bronwyn updated viewers. “My dad needs round-the-clock 24-hour care, so we moved him into memory care, but my mom stayed with me and is maybe staying indefinitely.”
During a date with Todd, she told her husband that she “couldn’t have done that” without him.

“You’ve really stepped up financially and are taking care of stuff for them in the interim while they figure out their house and their logistics,” Bronwyn said. “I know that’s not what you wanted to do. And I know you’ve changed plans and changed travel and changed your meetings, and it means a lot to me. … I feel like it’s been a year since this year started.”
Todd, for his part, replied, “Yeah, it’s been a rough start to the year. You’ve taken on a lot.”
As Bronwyn previously revealed on RHOSLC, her daughter Gwen’s boyfriend, Logan, also recently moved in with them.
How Todd Bradley reacted to Bronwyn Newport’s RHOSLC drama
Another one of the big “changes” Bronwyn discussed involved her dynamic with Todd. In the roughly four months since they filmed the RHOSLC Season 5 reunion, she claimed that Todd had made a “significant effort” towards their communication. So, she took the opportunity to get his take on her friend group issues too.
After Bronwyn pointed out that she’d had a “nice” talk with Meredith Marks about their similar experiences caring for aging fathers with health challenges, she referenced her ongoing drama with Lisa Barlow.
“I think you know some things have been said that are really gonna be hard for me to move on from,” she admitted, on the heels of their heated confrontation at socialite Amy Steele’s party.
“I don’t know why you bother with her at all,” Todd replied, prompting Bronwyn to respond, ” Because it bothers me when people don’t like me.”

That’s when he broke the news, “A lot of people don’t like you,” referencing “mean comments” Bronwyn receives on social media. As Todd saw it, she should simply “let it go” and “walk away” when she sees Lisa.
“All the s–t she drove, had said about you, had written about you, it’s unforgivable,” he continued. “Completely unforgivable.”
Still, Bronwyn couldn’t help but want to “fix” her friendship with Lisa nonetheless, explaining, “Because then it’s easier for everybody else. I don’t want to feel uncomfortable. … How do I get to a place of she can loudly dislike me, and it doesn’t make me crazy?”
As Todd bluntly put it, “I doubt that you do,” to which Bronwyn quipped, “That’s helpful.”
Bronwyn Newport’s mom weighs in on Todd Bradley’s financial support
Later, Bronwyn also sat down with her mother to discuss both the logistical and emotional aspects of their new realities. While discussing the trajectory her own life took, Bronwyn pointed out that her “longer route” to success was actually similar to how her mom “had to really figure out” what she wanted to do.
“But you really couldn’t have gotten there without Todd either,” Bronwyn’s mom chimed in. “You couldn’t get there without a dime.”
“I know,” Bronwyn replied. “I don’t love you saying that, but I needed Todd to get me there.”
Then, her mom doubled down, repeating, “You needed Todd to support you.”
In a confessional, Bronwyn opened up about how that portion of the conversation was emblematic of their mother-daughter dynamic.
“Sadly, this is not the first, uh, snide comment my mom has made about me,” Bronwyn said. “I think I still really need approval from her. I would live for her to adore me and approve of me and be proud of me, but I also wish that I didn’t.”
