Brooks Marks has been hard at work in the fashion industry. In addition to running his own fashion line, the Next Gen NYC cast member is also a model, but he is able to juggle his career, love life, and very active social life with ease.
Brooks recently spoke with The Daily Dish, where he revealed that balancing his career — which includes working for his mom, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Meredith Marks’ line of businesses — isn’t easy. But, he’s eager for Next Gen NYC viewers to watch how his career unfolds.
“I’m super excited for everyone to see that throughout the season with what’s next for my clothing brand and with my modeling career and my work at Meredith Marks,” he said. “I feel like, truly, I had such a difficult time balancing all of it and everyone is gonna get to see the ups and downs of that and where it stands now.”
He continued, noting that Season 1 of Next Gen NYC was a learning experience for him. “I feel like I was learning how to navigate that with my clothing brand, Brooks Marks, the work I do at Meredith Marks, and pursuing my modeling career on top of it,” he added.

When did Brooks Marks’ clothing line launch?
Brooks began working on his line, Brooks Marks, in 2018, before dropping his first collection of tracksuits in 2019, with the intention of creating “a universal brand for everyone.” Brooks then did his second drop of tracksuits in 2020, which sold out within four hours.
Brooks Marks reveals what inspired him to get into fashion
In a 2020 interview with Bravo Insider, Brooks admitted that he had an interest in fashion at a very young age. “I would cut up my clothes and sew them together, sometimes even glue them together, before I knew how to sew, and I would force [my sister] Chloe [Marks] to put them on,” he explained.
What does Brooks Marks sell?
Brooks initially launched his line with a track suit. But, as Brooks stated on Next Gen NYC Season 1 Episode 3, he wants to be “more than a one tracksuit wonder.”
Brooks released his line of Universal Panel Pants in collaboration with Friendly Blues in 2023, which debuted in three shades. Both Brooks and his mom are a huge fan of the pants. “I’ve been wearing mine incessantly,” Meredith told TODAY in September 2023. “They’re fun, they’re easy, they’re casual to moderately dressy, and I think everybody should buy a pair.”
Brooks’ line is currently still in progress at the moment, but people can join the waitlist for the brand before the next drop.
Details on Brooks Marks’ modeling career
In 2023, Brooks was signed to Ford Models, after modeling for the agency as a child. The New York University graduate took to Instagram at the time, where he revealed that he was “SO excited” to be working with the agency. “
“I modeled with Ford when I was a toddler and it’s so full circle to join their men’s board,” he wrote in the caption of the post. “Can’t wait for u to come on this journey with me.”
Brooks recently modeled for Teen Vogue in May, where he wore items from his and his mom’s lines. Meredith took to Instagram, where she gushed over her son’s big accomplishment. “My baby [Brooks Marks] in [Teen Vogue],” she wrote in the caption of the post. “Beyond proud, always! Watching you model since you were 7 has been such a gift. You amaze me every day.”
Brooks Marks opens up about working with mom Meredith Marks
In a June interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Brooks revealed that he was excited for Next Gen NYC viewers to see his working relationship with his family members. “My family is extremely close knit,” he said. “We break bread together, we work together — we basically do everything together, and I think that will be really cool for viewers to see more of the ins and outs of the work we do together at Meredith Marks and at Brooks Marks.”
“I mean, my mom is my mentor with my clothing brand,” he added.
Brooks is currently the creative director of his mother’s company, which he opened up about during Next Gen NYC Season 1, Episode 1. “I love my mom; she’s amazing,” he said during a confessional. “But it definitely feels like you’re living in someone’s shadow.”
“My next goal is a magazine cover without my mom,” he said with a laugh.
Meredith Marks opens up about Brooks Marks’ fashion career
It’s safe to say that Meredith is very proud of her son and all of his accomplishments. Meredith opened up about this in her interview with TODAY.
“To me, as a mother, all you want to do is see your children thriving,” she said. “I think we all know, a few years back, he hit a bumpy road. I’ve seen him just come out of that and just be on an upward trajectory. So, I couldn’t be happier.”
