Brooks Marks is ready to set the record straight after Next Gen NYC Season 1 concluded in late July.
The fashion designer was caught in some drama between friends during Next Gen NYC Season 1, all while juggling his career working in fashion and working for his mom, Meredith Marks. But now that the season has finished, he’s ready to reflect on what went down.
Brooks caught up with The Daily Dish at DIRECTV’s Plot Twist – Featuring Bravo event in NYC on Aug. 12, where he revealed that there are “too many things” that he would like to address from Season 1.
“I feel like Season 1 ended with way more things, like, left open than closed,” he said. “I don’t even know where to start.”
“I mean, I think people are having a misconception that they can walk all over me,” he continued. “So I would like to put my foot down. I don’t know if it’s a misconception. It might be true. But I would like to see if I can put my foot down more and that’s something I’ve been working on.”
Brooks Marks shares a career update after Next Gen NYC Season 1
Putting his foot down isn’t the only thing that Brooks has been working on. During the same event, Brooks revealed that he has been very busy behind the scenes with his fashion line, Brooks Marks.
“I have tons of really cool stuff going on with my brand,” he explained. “I have a new launch coming up in a few weeks that I’m super excited to share. You’ll just have to tune in to my Instagram for all of the updates.”

The Brooks Marks brand’s Instagram account currently has no posts, but promises for new releases, soon. “A NEW ERA IS COMING,” the Instagram bio reads.
Brooks Marks reveals what he learned from Next Gen NYC Season 1
In a June interview with The Daily Dish, Brooks admitted that he learned so much about his career throughout Next Gen NYC Season 1. “I feel like, truly, I had such a difficult time balancing all of it and everyone is gonna get to see the ups and downs of that and where it stands now,” he said.

“I feel like I was learning how to navigate that with my clothing brand, Brooks Marks, the work I do at Meredith Marks, and pursuing my modeling career on top of it,” he added.
