A 61-year-old California man has been arrested for the double murder of his elderly parents.
The Concord Police Department said it got a call about a “family disturbance” at around 7 a.m. Wednesday and arrived to find “two individuals who were deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.”
They took into custody a third person found at the home and said there were “no outstanding suspects and there is no active threat to the community.”
KTVU identified the suspect as Kirk Richardson and said he was the son of the victims, a 90-year-old man and an 85-year-old woman who were not publicly identified. Jail records say he is being held on murder charges without bail.
No further information was released, and police said anyone with information should contact CPD Major Crimes Unit Detective Luciano at (925) 603-5831.
