Candiace Dillard Bassett recently addressed whether she has any plans to return to The Real Housewives of Potomac anytime soon. The RHOP alum joined the cast of RHOP in Season 3, before she confirmed her exit from the show at the end of Season 8. Candiace took to her podcast, Undomesticated, on Dec. 31, where she admitted that she does not see herself returning to the show at the moment.
“I do not have any plans to return to Potomac at this time,” she said during the episode. “I say that, you never know, as someone who believes firmly in never saying never. I’m not saying it will never happen. But what I am saying is, as you all are badgering and beating down my door to come back like, yesterday, I am not having those conversations.”
She continued, revealing that she is focusing on other aspects of her very busy career as a recording artist, entrepreneur, and mom of one. “I am having conversations about other things and other projects and other ideas and other endeavors that I’m really looking forward to.”
Candiace Dillard Bassett teases The Traitors Season 4
One of these endeavors is The Traitors Season 4, in which Candiace will be competing. Season 4 of The Traitors premieres on Peacock on Thursday, Jan. 8, and Candiace is very excited about this. “It is going to be a really good season,” she said during the Dec. 31 podcast episode.

“I know I keep saying this, but truly, and today I had a conversation recently with one of my cast mates, and it was just so funny to relive and kind of recalibrate where we were together. And just like, the twilight zone of an experience that it was,” she explained. “And also just like reminded me of what I have always said about this cast is that we, our cast, is so awesome and so great. So I can’t wait for you guys to see it.”

Candiace cited her very busy schedule as a reason for departing RHOP. “As I embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years with The Real Housewives of Potomac, I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth, and moments of introspection that have defined this journey,” she told PEOPLE in March 2024. “With a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP.”

Candiace spoke with PEOPLE at BravoCon 2025 back in November, where she shared one of her secrets to juggling her career while being a mom to her 1-year-old son, Jett Maxwell Lee Bassett. “I think I’m managing it all,” she said. “I think my secret — and I don’t condone this, so don’t call me when your face breaks out — I sleep in my makeup. That’s how I make it.”

“I’ll have back-to-back, three interviews and two Zoom calls, and then I’ll have to wake up the next morning and do a news interview, and I have to sleep in my makeup,” she added. “Otherwise, I would literally…I would be a rat, a dirty, moldy rat.”
