In a historic first, the Below Deck Down Under Season 4 crew served The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 cast during an epic crossover charter, and Captain Jason Chambers revealed a behind-the-scenes moment that made him want to applaud the ‘Wives.
“One thing I will say — which I really admire — even the people opening the door for them, or taking their luggage, or any little, small thing, they’re always saying ‘Thank you, thank you,’” Jason pointed out during the Below Deck Down Under After Show. Chief stew Daisy Kelliher chimed in, “Yeah, the ladies are so polite.”
Jason continued, “When you see people like that genuinely chatting to strangers — not even at a Bravo event, just out, just engaging with people, who don’t even know them — I really respect that.”

During the BDDU After Show, deck-stew Mike Durrant shared his first impression of the ladies. “I thought, ‘Wow, this is a rowdy bunch,’” he told João. “I said, ‘I’m gonna have a load of fun with these girls!’”
Still, Captain Jason revealed he also felt nervous during the crossover charter. “I felt pressure like from a Bravo point of view,” he admitted during the BDDU After Show. “You know, I didn’t want this Bravo franchise to come to us and we just be pitiful. I want them to walk away going, ‘We shined.’ That pressure was inside me. I was like, ‘We gotta do this right.’”
But Mike pointed out that the nerves quickly dissipated. “They were more focused on themselves than they were on us, so it took the pressure off a little bit,” he joked to João during the After Show, who agreed.
“Exactly right,” said João. “We thought that we’d have to overdo it. We didn’t have to because they were just overdoing it with themselves.”
What happened on Below Deck Down Under Season 4 with the RHOSLC cast
Bravo viewers have been anxiously awaiting the Below Deck Down Under crew’s point of view on the RHOSLC crossover charter, since the Housewives’ perspective aired in Season 6 in 2025. Luckily, they didn’t have to wait long as the BDDU supersized Season 4 premiere kicked off with the hotly anticipated charter.
In the episode, Jason prepped Daisy, second officer João Franco, and chef Ben Robinson for the Housewives’ arrival, telling his crew to anticipate a difficult charter with their first guests of the season.

“They’re all used to a quality, ultra-rich luxury. High standard. They’ve been on yachts before, and traveled the world, enjoying life,” Jason warned in the Feb. 2 episode. “They’re gonna be coming from a place that they want good service. They are going to be high demanding. They’re loud. It’s gonna be trouble.”
Daisy, who was working with Captain Jason for the first time, admitted she was “quite anxious” for the Housewives’ arrival. “The Housewives are notorious for being over the top,” she told producers. “They argue. They expect nice things.”
“Somebody’s going to storm off, somebody’s going to cry, and somebody’s definitely going to throw a drink,” she predicted — all of which later happened during the Night 1 dinner. “This is not going to be easy at all.”
The Below Deck Down Under crew reveals how the RHOSLC cast was as charter guests
As predicted, the RHOSLC charter was chaotic. “These women are unhinged. All of these demands!” Daisy complained during the Feb. 2 episode. “We’ve got nipple covers. We’ve got all the drink requests.”
The early loss of a stew before Katina even left the dock put extra strain on the crew. “Joe [Caron]’s gone. Mike’s on deck. There’s two of us. Eight of them. I cannot keep up. Like, what the actual f—k?” Daisy griped in her confessional.
Even Mike admitted his first impression of the ‘Wives didn’t live up to the ideal he’d imagined. “I was expecting Housewives to be very classy and modest. Like, ‘Oh, can you take this for me, dear?’” he told producers. But after watching the ladies argue, he joked, “These [Housewives] sound like the group from my local pub.”
Things didn’t improve for Daisy during her second meal service, as Meredith Marks and Britani Bateman’s argument ended with water being thrown by both, and broken glass to clear.
“F—king insane. Absolutely insane,” Daisy said in her confessional. “First charter and the guests are already killing each other. These b—ches are next level delulu. I am over this.”
