Captain Kerry Titheradge is now a single man. The Daily Dish can confirm that Captain Kerry and his longtime girlfriend, Gönül Bihan, have broken up after six years of dating.
Kerry took to his Instagram account on Jan. 10, where he posted a series of photos of himself by the water, and reflected on the year ahead in the caption of the post. Although the yacht captain did not open up about his breakup, he did admit that there were some major changes that had recently happened in his life.
“Grateful for where I’m at in life right now and really feeling this next chapter settle in,” he wrote. “A lot has been happening quietly behind the scenes, and it feels good to finally see things start to align.”
He continued, noting that he has a new outlook on life. “There’s a new level of focus, clarity, and momentum building, and I know things are about to start picking up in a big way,” he added. “This year is going to look different new projects, new experiences, new growth, and you’re going to see a lot more sides of me along the way. Appreciate everyone who’s been part of the journey so far. The best is still ahead.”

Kerry had previously introduced Below Deck viewers to Gönül during Below Deck Season 11, Episode 3, when he FaceTimed her during the episode. Kerry confirmed, in a confessional during the episode, that he had “an amazing woman in my life, her name is Gönül.” “She is from Turkey. We’ve been together for three years, and obviously, I adore her,” he noted.
He continued during the episode, where he admitted that he was looking to take their relationship to the next level. “I would like to ask her mother for her hand in marriage,” he added. “And the way I’m gonna do that is learn Turkish.”

Prior to dating Gönül, Kerry had been married once before to a woman with whom he shares two children, a son and a daughter. During the Below Deck Season 11 premiere, Kerry opened up about his previous relationship. “I was married, and then that all ended,” he explained. “It wasn’t good. I was running a 300-foot yacht. Gave it all up for my kids.”

But he explained to the crew that the divorce granted him a new perspective on parenting. “I was taught, you know, the mom’s there to be the emotional support, [and] the dad’s there to be the money and the disciplinarian,” he added. “And then when it happened, it gave me the opportunity to be there emotionally for them as well.”

Kerry spoke with The Daily Dish in September 2025, where he slightly opened up about his relationship with Gönül, but chose to keep a lot of the details private. “I do have someone in my life, and I’m grateful for it,” he admitted at the time. “After everything I’ve been through, I don’t take love or connection for granted.”
But, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sept. 15, Kerry danced around the subject of him being in a relationship. Instead, when asked about it, the yacht captain chose to take a sip from the drink in his hand.
