Summer House’s Carl Radke is being a supportive friend to both Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula amid their split.
The Soft Bar + Café owner reacted to the couple’s separation after four years of marriage during an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish, first stating that he “love[s] them both a lot.”
“Like, I had the pleasure and honor of officiating the wedding and I was Kyle’s best man. I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs with them. So, it was sad,” Carl explained. “But it’s not my relationship, and I wanted what’s best for them, and I know they’ve been going through a lot.”
Reflecting on his own breakup from Lindsay Hubbard in 2023, Carl said that his heart goes out to his Summer House castmates, “especially Amanda.”
“It’s not easy at all. I’ve certainly been through a breakup myself, but that was very different. I’ve just been trying to be supportive of them,” he continued. “I was with the both of them [recently], and the vibes were positive. They’re doing the best they can. So, please send them support; they need it. We’re rallying around the both of them, but I know over the next few months’ time, it’s not gonna get any easier.”

Carl teased that the new season of Summer House features “stuff that people are gonna have opinions on or things to say,” when it comes to Kyle and Amanda’s relationship. “But I hope it’s an opportunity for Kyle to heal and Amanda to heal; maybe learn a little bit, and grow.”
Continuing to discuss how the lead-up to Kyle and Amanda’s split will play out on Summer House, Carl said, “With Kyle, you’ll see a lot on this coming season of me and him having many conversations just about some things he’s feeling and experiencing. I was trying to be a guide, and also point the mirror back into his face — like, ‘Listen, man, this is what I’m seeing, and here’s maybe recommendations that might work for you.’ I was trying to guide him on maybe taking a little bit of a break from going on tour and focusing on certain things with her, or writing her a letter … I don’t think it helped, but I’m just trying to be a friend and be supportive.”

Kyle and Amanda issued a joint statement on Jan. 19, stating that they would be going their separate ways.
“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” they stated on the post added to their Instagram Stories. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing. It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter. Amanda & Kyle.”
