Cereal Plant Worker Dies After Getting Stuck in Industrial Oven – Crime Online

An investigation is underway in Missouri after a factory employee was found dead in an industrial oven on Thursday.

Perryville police responded to the Gilster Mary Lee Cereal Plant to help Nicolas Gomez, 38. KSDK reported that Gomez was supposed to power wash the oven’s exterior, so police are unsure how he became trapped in the oven.

According to the news station, Gomez was a Guatemalan national used the alias Edward Avila.

Foul play is not suspected in Gomez’s death. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
