Phoenix, Arizona – Turning Point USA, the Christian nationalist activist group founded by the late Charlie Kirk, is planning a music show to counter Bad Bunny‘s performance at the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show.
On Thursday, the group shared an X post announcing “The All-American Halftime Show,” billing the event as “celebrating faith, family, and freedom.”
The post included a link to a survey asking fans which music genres they would prefer to see performed. The list included Americana, Classic Rock, Country, Worship, and “Anything in English.”
Last month, Kirk was fatally shot by an assassin during an event in Utah. His widow, Erika Kirk, has since taken over TPUSA.

In the wake of his death, Erika vowed to continue her husband’s work, warning detractors, “You have no idea what you’ve just unleashed across this entire country.”
The TPUSA event seeks to rival Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl in February. His pick has been met with backlash from conservatives angry over the musician’s criticisms of President Donald Trump and the fact that he sings mostly in Spanish.
While TPUSA has billed their event as “All-American,” and critics on the right have been calling for Bad Bunny to be deported, many have pointed out that, as a Puerto Rican artist, Bad Bunny is in fact an American citizen, and the overwhelming opposition from the right is rooted in racism.
