Ben Robinson is dishing on his love life today. The Below Deck Down Under Season 4 chef joined the crew of M/Y Katina fresh off a breakup from his former fiancée and looking to mingle — and he has some major updates on his dating life, revealing that he now has a new girlfriend.
Ben appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Monday, March 2, alongside his BFF and former coworker, Kate Chastain. It was here that Ben confirmed that he does have a girlfriend, but remained tight-lipped about the details on the special person in his life. While he did not share her name or how he met her, he admitted that he is very pleased with his life with his new girlfriend. “I have found a better half, and I’m very happy right now,” he stated.
Ben’s new relationship comes on the heels of his breakup with his ex-fiancée, which he opened up about when he joined the Below Deck Down Under Season 4 crew. But now, he’s entered a brand new chapter in his love life.

Ben and Kate have always alluded to the fact that they might have been more than friends at some point. During their appearance on WWHL on Monday, both Ben and Kate were asked why they didn’t work out romantically, to which Ben and Kate laughed at. “I’m not sure,” she said, looking at Ben.
“Maybe we didn’t endeavor hard enough,” Ben replied.
“Yeah, we should have tried harder,” Kate agreed.

However, Ben has been very open throughout Below Deck Down Under Season 4 about his former relationship. Ben’s emotional state on Katina reflected how he was feeling after the breakup. “I think that maybe I wasn’t quite healed,” he explained during the Below Deck Down Under After Show. “Well, that’s the thing. You never know until you scratch that emotional surface. I was away from the reclusion of my otherwise reclusive life, but you never know until you put yourself back in the field.”
