Chelsea Meissner knows what the future holds when it comes to expanding her family. The Southern Charm alum welcomed her first child, a daughter, into the world in 2023, and has been loving life as a mom of one.
The hairstylist took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Oct. 14, where she held a Q&A session. She was asked if she was “loving being one and done” or if she wanted to have more kids, as the Instagram user who asked the question was “on the fence” about having a second child.
“I feel complete with one child and I’m sure our circumstances are different, but I’ve never met a mother who regrets having more children and I’m so thankful for my siblings,” she wrote.
Chelsea also admitted during the Q&A that she will never show her daughter or reveal her name on social media. “My job is to protect her and the internet is not what it used to be,” she noted. “I feel it is in her best interest to keep her out of the public eye.”
But, she did reveal that her daughter has an interest in gardening and being outdoors, just like her. She shared that her daughter’s current favorite toy is a child-sized electronic tractor for her to ride around in their backyard. “Got this for my daughter’s 2nd birthday and she LOVES it!” she wrote.

During the Q&A, Chelsea confirmed that she is single. But, she also shared her thoughts on marriage, admitting that she did not see it in her future.

“It’s not looking like it’s in the cards for me but I’m trusting God’s plan,” she wrote. “Maybe He made me this independent for a reason. I don’t feel lonely or feel I’m missing out on anything but never say never.”

The Charleston resident had previously held an Instagram Q&A in March, where she further opened up about her life as a single mom. She admitted that she was surprised by how much love she has for her daughter, which has been “wild” to her.

“The amount of love I never knew I had in me..I feel physical pain when I’m away from my girl,” she wrote. “She’s ALL I need in life. Another wild thing that’s so hard to put into words is how I immediately felt like I’d known her my whole life. She felt familiar straight out of the womb. It’s all so wild.”
