Ciara Miller is making a major real estate move — but it’s not in New York City. During Summer House Season 10, Episode 9, she revealed to her housemates that she purchased a very special home down south.
“I’m going to North Carolina this week. I’m going to go meet with an architect for my house,” she shared during the March 31 episode. “It’s my grandparents’ house. So, I bought their house from my dad and his siblings.”
She revealed to producers that she’d been planning the move for a long time. “I knew my grandparents’ house was going to be up for sale, and so, I’ve been prepping to do this for the past year,” she explained.
Ciara went on to tell her friends that she has big long-term plans for the house, sharing, “I want it to stay in my family’s name forever.”

Ciara shared the significant role her grandparents’ home played in her life. “Growing up, once my parents got divorced, we probably lived in like five different houses from kindergarten to high school,” she said.
“My grandparents always just had that one house. My grandfather built this house,” she told producers. “It’s where my dad and his siblings grew up.”

“The holidays were spent here,” Ciara explained. “This is definitely the house that raised me.”
“It’s just really special, and I can’t believe I have…saved my money, and been responsible enough, and also paid my taxes, [and] that I can buy this house and it belongs and remains in our family,” she said.
She continued, “It’s just a way of me honoring all my grandparents’ hard work, and the sacrifice that they went through to even have a home, and build a home for their family, and I hope to be able to have that with my family one day.”

Ciara’s close friend and housemate Mia Calabrese encouraged Ciara to explain why “this is a very big deal for her.”
“Can I just say, I’m so proud of Ciara, because this was a long back-and-forth that she was going through with everyone,” Mia said during the March 31 episode. “You handled it, and you were so calm the whole time, and I know it means so much to you that you got this house…And I’m so proud of you.”
From there, several Summer House cast members also praised Ciara’s decision.
