Suffice it to say that Summer House‘s Ciara Miller was none too pleased when she caught wind that Jesse Solomon had asked West Wilson for “permission” to make out with her. However, further reflection eventually softened her stance on the matter.

After Lindsay Hubbard spilled the tea to her during Season 10, Episode 5, Ciara waited until the following weekend to address the situation with Jesse. As he attempted to justify his motives for talking to West, Ciara reiterated that her ultimate goal was to eventually be married and have kids, while Jesse appeared to be more focused on their hookup potential.

“You just picture it as, like, this is a joke,” she told him. “If you were really interested in me, you would be asking permission to take me out on a date, if you’re asking him for permission for f–king anything, not to just make out with me.”

Jesse, meanwhile, apologized that his comments made her “feel like an object.” Afterward, Ciara admitted in a confessional that she was perhaps misplacing blame.

“It feels really easy to put it all on Jesse,” she shared, before conceding, “I think it’s 75 percent me, 25 percent Jesse, if I’m being realistic.”

Ciara elaborated, “That is hurtful from Jesse ’cause I felt like we have a good enough relationship for him to come to me and say these things to me. But also, I just feel like it reaffirms a theme in my head that, like, people just want to hook up, and they don’t want anything serious with me. And, like, that is the part that I just can’t get out of my head.”

How Ciara Miller reacted to Jesse Solomon’s talk with West Wilson

As mentioned, Lindsay updated Ciara on Jesse’s conversation with West during the March 3 episode’s Renaissance fair-themed bash. Though Ciara told her she was “gonna need a minute” to process that information, she offered more intel on her initial reaction in a confessional.

“What are you asking permission for?” Ciara asked rhetorically. “The only person that can give you permission is me. Both of these boys make me f–kin’ sick, honestly.”

In addition to being “annoyed at Jesse’s lack of intention,” she also had smoke for West, after Lindsay claimed that he said he didn’t “give a f–k” if Jesse tried to hook up with her.

“That annoys the s–t out of me,” Ciara added of her ex. “Because you know what? I oughta make out with somebody right in front of ya, see how you really feel. Hm.”

Ciara Miller tearfully explained why Jesse Solomon’s request for West Wilson was so “hurtful”

Shortly afterward, Lindsay tapped Jesse and West to go head-to-head in a jousting competition. The playful backyard battle ended with Jesse kissing West, who cracked a joke about him not asking for “permission” first. West’s comment immediately prompted Ciara to put her head in her hands, before tearfully retreating to her bedroom.

Newcomer Mia Calabrese, meanwhile, followed Ciara to make sure she was OK.

“It’s not flattering to me because I do feel like everyone just, like, wants to experience me,” Ciara explained to her. “I do want to have, like, the best friend and, like, someone that I can tell everything to. And they, like, look at me and want to tell me everything and, like, they want to protect me, and like… I don’t want this, like, surface-level s–t.”

She elaborated to a producer, “Everyone knows I’m more traditional than your average girl. And me and Jesse are real friends. So, I just don’t understand why you only see me in this light of, like, oh, a good time girl, when that’s so not my vibe anyway.”

As Ciara put it to Jesse directly later on, “It’s just, like, weird that you’re clearing it with West before talking to me about it. It just made me feel like you think of me as, like, a sexual conquest and, like, now it’s your turn.”

After Jesse clarified that he did not see her that way, Ciara concluded their chat by saying, “I just want to be seen in this friendship. I think that that’s … the main thing that I’m fighting for.”

As they continue to navigate the situation, get more details on what sparked the drama between Ciara, Jesse, and West on Summer House Season 10.
