An investigation is underway in Texas after a college student who vanished from campus was found dead on Monday.
KHOU reported that University of Houston student Jade McKissic, 20, was last seen on September 10, leaving LA Burgers and Daiquiris, which is located near campus. Five days later, her body was pulled from Brays Bayou, less than a mile from the college.
The Houston Chronicle reported that Harris County officials formally identified the body as McKissic on Thursday.
McKissic ‘s cause of death remains unclear, as an autopsy is pending.
