Colorado Woman Extradited from UK to Face Charges of Killing Her 2 Kids in Staged Robbery – Crime Online

A Colorado woman accused of drugging and killing her children and then fleeing to the United Kingdom is back in the United States to face charges.

An extradition order from a UK court in November sent Kimberlee Singler back to Colorado, District Attorney Michael Allen said Tuesday afternoon, KOAA reported.

Singler, 36, was arrested in London on December 30, 2023, more than a week after Colorado Springs police found the bodies of Elianna Wentz, 6, and Aden Wentz, as CrimeOnline reported. Singler, their mother, and her 11-year-old daughter were injured, and Singler told police there had been a robbery gone bad.

Singler blamed her ex-husband for the attack, but investigators soon came to believe that she had caused the injuries herself. The ex-husband, it turned out, had been driving a GPS-tracked truck which provided him with an alibi. And the 11-year-old survivor reportedly identified Singler as her attacker.

Singler is charged with murder, attempted murder, assault, and child abuse.

Singler fought extradition, claiming that sending her back would subject her to a potential life sentence in violation of the European Convention of Human Rights. But a British judge disagreed.

Singler is being held without bond, KKTV said.
