Cops Release Images of ‘Person of Interest’ in Death of Texas Cheerleader – Crime Online

Texas police have released photos of a person of interest and an associated vehicle in the murder of a 16-year-old cheerleader .

Lizbeth Medina was found dead in her home on Tuesday when she failed to turn up for a Christmas parade, as CrimeOnline reported. The girl was found in her pajamas, suggested she was murdered that morning.

Medina, a student at Edna High School, was found in the apartment’s bathtub by her mother, KHOU reported.

Edna Police released a surveillance photo of a the person of interest and said he was wearing a black Volcom sweatshirt at the time and may have a tattoo behind his right ear. He was driving a silver Ford Taurus.

Police did not say how they think the man was connected with the girl’s death, but asked anyone with information to call Edna police at 361-782-6522 or contact Crime Stoppers at 361-552-2274 if you recognize him. Police have offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
