Coroner Releases Official Cause of Death of Kansas Boy Found Dead in Missouri – Crime Online

A coroner released the cause of death of a 13-year-old Kansas boy found dead in a creek bed in Missouri on December 22.

The Wyandotte County, Kansas, Coroner’s Office said Airen Andula died from multiple dog bites, WDAF reported.

Andula was reported missing on December 21 and had been last seen riding his bike in Linn County, Kansas, on his way to a neighbor’s where he was taking care of their pets, as CrimeOnline reported.

In the midst of the search, 47-year-old Damon Leonard contacted deputies in Bates County, Missouri, telling them the boy was dead and he knew where the body was. Leonard led them to a remote, rural area about 30 minutes from his home, and searchers found the body down a steep ravine.

He was charged in Missouri with abandonment of a corpse and in Kansas with interference with law enforcement, criminal desecration, and having a vicious dog at large.
